Art sessions
Critical thinkers
Our critical thinkers sessions encourage young people to engage with the art world in a theoretic way. Held in a gallery of your choice, students will observe, analyse and evaluate artworks to foster critical thinking skills. Creative workshops can be included in these sessions for an additional fee.
Portraits
By evaluating and analysing the portraits on display, students will develop an understanding of how artists respond to ideas of identity and culture through portraiture and how they fit into historical and contemporary contexts.
Heritage
Discover the life of local inventor and entrepreneur Kenneth Wood and the face behind the famous Kenwood mixer. Study how he developed his brand and invented his way into the history books by becoming one of Britain's youngest millionaires. Then, back in our studio, students will use their imagination and ingenuity to design and make prototype products that solve relevant problems for themselves and others.
Bespoke
Tell us what you have in mind, and we'll design a bespoke session just for you. Students will take part in gallery activities focusing on artworks or current exhibitions of your choosing, evaluating and analyzing creative works followed by a workshop that develops their artistic skills.
Session duration: 90mins to 2 hours depending on activity
